i have a top denture which i hate how much would it cost to have nobel biocare done
Thank you for your enquiry.
NobelBiocare is the name of a market leading supplier of dental implant technology. It is the system I use at Barnton Dental.
The cost of implant treatment is dependent on various factors. To replace a full denture, we can use 2-3 implants with studs holding a denture in place, costing approx. £4500-5000. For a fixed bridge on 4-6 implants, the cost rises to about £8000-10000. For an immediate implant and bridge fitting, using NobelGuide technology, prices can be £15000-20000. However, I should advise that such treatments are costed on an individual basis.
We are currently offering a free no obligation implant or cosmetic dental exam. This would allow me to give you an idea of what might be a suitable solution for yourself.
My top front 4 teeth are all crowns. I've had them for around 15 years - the type with a metal post. One of the middle ones has become loose over the years and the post has fallen out and been re stuck in a few times times. My dentist says the root is cracked and will need to be removed and I will have to wear a denture for 6 months, after which a bridge can be made and fitted. Is there any alternative to this which would mean I wouldn't have to wear a temporary denture?
I have an unsightly silver filling in a back tooth, can this be made to look better?
With the rapid developments in technology, various options are possible to improve your tooth.
If the filling you mention is reasonably small, then it might be possible to change your silver filling for a simple white plastic/resin, or “composite” filling. Composite is the material we routinely use in front teeth, and it has been developed to a point where it can be used in small to average sized fillings in back teeth. This material is simply placed into the cavity and set or “cured” with a special blue light.
However, if the filling is larger, there can be better alternatives. For improved wear and fit characteristics in chewing teeth, porcelain inlays or crowns can be a preferred option. At Barnton Dental, we have recently introduced CEREC CAD-CAM technology, which allows same-day chairside design and manufacture of these restorations, allowing placement of great looking, strong and hard wearing restorations which can last many years. We are one of the few centres in Scotland able to offer this ground breaking technology.
